Special Issue Editor – Digital Education for All (Emerald Journal: Quality Education for All)

The Special Issue Digital Education for All seeks to provide a timely and comprehensive platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on the future of education in the digital age. Its central objective is to critically explore how digital technologies can be harnessed to ensure inclusive, equitable, and high-quality learning for diverse communities worldwide. The issue invites contributions that move beyond viewing digital education as a mere deployment of tools, instead framing it as a transformative ecosystem shaped by pedagogical practices, governance structures, community participation, and sustainable models of innovation.
Key areas of focus include digital inclusion and equity, pedagogical innovation, teacher training and competency building, policy frameworks and governance, community-driven initiatives, infrastructure and accessibility, ethics and data privacy, quality assurance, cross-cultural perspectives, and future sustainability. By curating a balanced mix of empirical research, conceptual papers, critical reviews, case studies, and policy analyses, the Special Issue aims to bridge gaps between theory and practice, global priorities and local realities, and technology and human-centered values.
The originality of this Special Issue lies in its emphasis on situating digital education within broader frameworks of social justice, digital rights, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities). It will highlight contributions from both established and emerging scholars, giving special attention to research and practices from underrepresented regions and marginalized communities. By amplifying these perspectives, the issue seeks to foster global representation and inclusivity in the discourse on digital education.
